|Concert: An Afternoon of Jazz with Michael Arenson's Jazz Quartet
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, 420 Willa Rd. (Map), 3-5 pm
Live music by renowned musicians Mike Arenson, Tom Palmer, Larry Spencer and Joe Dawson. (Read about the musicians here.) This is a benefit for the Newark Residents Against the Power Plant, in partnership with Delaware Audubon. Coffee house, refreshments, silent auction. Pay as much as you can afford, between $10-$250. |Bug & Bud Festival
Downtown Milford, 9 am - 4 pm
The Bug & Bud Festival is an ingenious celebration of both Arbor Day and lady bugs, the official bug of Delaware. In fact, it was second graders from Milford who petitioned to make the lady bug Delaware's official state bug in 1974.

The Delmarva Birding Weekend is one of the most popular birdwatching events in the mid-Atlantic region. Thanks to a wide array of sponsors, participants can take part in a number of excursions during the daytime, nighttime, aboard a boat, or even while canoeing or kayaking. |Tri-State Bird Rescue - Annual Open House
