Thomas Shuey lives in New Castle County, and joined Delaware Audubon – with his friend and fellow board member John Knox – in 2004. This year, he co-chaired our annual birdseed sale fundraiser.

Tom is a "product engineer" by profession; and his hobbies include gardening, fishing, Kiptopeke camping trips, and hiking. His major environmental concern is Delaware Bay water quality, and " you name it. If it is a concern to the environment, it is my concern." His nature interest started when he went camping with his parents at age two.

Tom says his most satisfying birding or nature activities were the years he spent hiking the Colorado Rockies, and his camping trips to Kiptopeke State Park in Virginia.
