Nick serves as Delaware Audubon's Conservation Chair. He is a former Secretary of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources, having served 3 ½ years from April 1999 to September 2002. More recently he served as Director of the Environmental Management Center at the Brandywine Conservancy in Chadds Ford, PA, and as Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. He returned to Delaware in October 2004, and is a Senior Consultant for Duffield Associates, a Geosciences consulting firm in Wilmington. Nick lives in Dover with his wife Jackie and daughter Laura, who is a student at the University of Delaware, and their two dogs and two cats. Nick enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, reading (about the environment). He has dedicated his life to protecting and conserving natural resources and ecological systems.
